Understanding materials. Targeted preparation.
Discover which materials and connections are involved in a construction. Compare points of interest and view a material list per project.
Steel
Compact beams, columns and portals for open spaces and larger spans.
02 / UNDERSTRUCTUREConcrete and reinforcement
For foundations, floors and other construction parts in which concrete and steel work together.
03 / LIGHT BUILDINGStructural timber
For beam layers, roofs and light building systems such as timber frame construction.
04 / WALLSMasonry and sand-lime brick
Load-bearing walls, facades and supports require the right combination of stone, mortar and detailing.
05 / CONNECTIONSAnchors and connections
The transfer of forces is in the details: bolts, welds, anchors and wood connections.
06 / BUILDING ENTIREInsulation and structural layers
Adjust heat, moisture and connections to the supporting structure.
07 / PROTECTIONFire resistant finish
A complete solution for the protection of structural parts and connections.
Which materials are featured?
Choose a project for an overview of possible material components. Exact products, sizes and quantities follow from the final design.
From material choice to an order you can use
For each element, record its location, drawing reference and any missing specifications. “Steel” or “timber” alone is not a complete order. Grade, finish, fixings and connections to the existing building may also matter.
Use the project selector above to start your list of questions. Discuss changes to materials or dimensions with the designer or structural engineer before ordering. An alternative product can affect connections, weight and the space required.
